A roaring fire will greet you as you enter the dining room on chilly winter mornings. You may find your table waiting on the verandah during the warmer months.

Wherever you choose to have breakfast you will be greeted with a cheery good morning and a full "no-lunch" breakfast. You are likely to find Eggs Florentine or Peaches & Cream Brulee French Toast served with fruit and ham or bacon. Homemade muffins, scones and coffee cakes are frequent visitors along with the occasional "new recipe" we just can't resist.

Take an afternoon break from your activities and rejuvenate with homemade goodies and a refreshing drink on the verandah. Special dietary needs are happily accommodated.

Activities abound in the Lexington area. The surrounding mountains & streams provide the nature lover with hiking, fishing, canoeing, and horseback riding. History buffs will enjoy the museums and campus' of both Virginia Military Institute and Washington & Lee University. Take a ride in a horse-drawn carriage or a self-guided walking tour to glimpse a bit of old Lexington. Antique lovers can find many treasures to take home. The downtown shops are filled with artwork by local artisans, pottery, unique foods and friendly shopkeepers. Equestrians will love the Virginia Horse Center. We can help you with reservations and maps to make the most of your stay.

At the end of a full day relax over dinner at one of Lexington's fine, locally owned, restaurants.

A full refund will be made if cancellation notice is received over 10 days before arrival date (30 days for May and October Weekends and special college events). "No-shows" will be charged for their entire stay, including packages. No refund for early departure.

When situations arise that necessitate your cancellation less than ten days in advance (for example illness or bad weather),we sympathize, but your deposit will not be refunded. If you wish, we will apply your full deposit to a future stay re-scheduled within six months.
