Depot Lodge
Historic Depot Lodge and Swinging Bridge Restaurant and Retail, featuring "slap your mama" home cooking.
The train depot was originally built in 1909. Paint Bank was the final stop of the Potts Valley Branch line of the Norfolk & Western Railway. This expansion was part of the mining boom of the early 1900's. The main depot building has been completely restored, maintaining as much of the original architecture as possible. We recently acquired an original Norfolk & Southern Caboose and renovated it into a cozy room resting adjacent to Potts Creek.
Caboose Cabin and Cottage available. Local Buffalo Farm. Hiking, canoeing, birdwatching available locally. Unique restaurant, retail and sporting goods store nearby.
