Dragon Run Inn
Welcome to the Dragon Run Inn. Come and enjoy yesterday's atmosphere with today's conveniences. The inn was built in 1913 as a farm house, which we've captured as our theme. Our rooms are named for farm animals. You can spend the night with the cows, pigs, sheep or horses.
Each of our large bedrooms are named for and decorated with farm animals. The horse room has a queen-size bed, horse pictures and decorations. The pig rom also has a queen-size bed and is full of pigs and piglets. The cow room almost makes you want to get up at 5:00 a.m. and milk the cows, but the two double beds say sleep in. Our sheep suite is a two-oom suite with queen bed, slipper back whirlepool tub and large shower. Each bedroom has its own bath room equipped with jacuzzi tub. On cool nights the gas log stoves warm the room and makes for a cozy atmosphere.
We are in a great location for day trips. In 45 minutes to an hour you can be at the Williamsburg outlets shopping or walking the streets of old town Williamsburg, Jamestown or Yorktown. Richmond is only an hour away as are Water Country, Busch Gardens and Kings Dominion. Colonial Downs is also close by for an evening with the horses. Just a mile up the road is auto racing at the Virginia Speedway quarter mile dirt track during the summer. You can antique shop 'til you drop within 10-20 minutes from the inn.
A cruise leaves from Tappahannock during the summer that tours the Rappahannock River stopping at the Ingleside Winery for lunch. Urbanna has a walking tour that reveals a small town with a big history going back to colonial days. If you like to canoe, the Dragon Run Swamp calls. The Dragon is considered one of the most pristine bodies of water in the east. It is a naturalist's paradise. A number of unusual species of plants, animals and aquatic life abound in this almost untaouched stream.

Four rooms capable of sleeping up to 13 persons total depending on configuration (Horse room queen bed for 2, Pig Room queen bed for 2, Cow Room 2 double beds for 4, Sheep Suite queen bed for 2 and a futon that makes into a double bed for 2, and we have 1 rollaway).
