The lovely Inn is situated one block from the Historic District. Two rock walled creeks flow thru the grounds, landscaped with the rock gardens, tiered brick walls, patios, rhododendrons, dog woods, pines and dawn redwoods which add to the tranquility.
It is within walking distance from many area attractions such as the Barter Theatre - State Theatre of Virginia, The Martha Washington Inn, Historical Landmark,WM King Art Center and the Virginia Creeper Trail- a 34 mile hiking, biking, horseback riding, bird watching trail.
It's close to galleries, fine restaurants, book stores and many antique shops. Nearby are many scenic spots such as the Blue Ridge Parkway, Mount Rodgers National Recreational Area and the historic Whites Mill.
All accommodations are furnished with antiques, central air, phones, modems, VCR's or DVD's ironing board and cable tv.
The generous breakfast consist of healthful homemade edibles and tables are set with sterling, crystal, stoneware and linens.
You will enjoy eating on the wonderful back porch or in the elegant dining room. There are homemade scones and jams, gourmet grits, quiches and fried Virginia apples out of the Inn's yard.
The Inn offers 5 guest rooms furnished with king, queen, antique double beds, or antique twin beds and private baths.
The Inn has 2 suites with their own kitchens and have their own private entrances onto covered porches. They are great for families or for couples traveling together or reuniting for a weekend getaway.
All may enjoy the hot tub in the solarium lit with lighted trees.
Come and stay at the Inn the next time you visit our historic town. We both grew up here and are proud to have raised our wonderful family here too.
