In the heart of the beautiful Shenandoah Valley, Strathmore House, a local landmark, located just off Interstate 81 near Mt. Jackson, Virginia, welcomes you for a week or a weekend.  From Strathmore's spectacular location overlooking the historic Meems Bottom Covered Bridge and the North Fork of the Shenandoah River, guests can pursue golfing, tennis, fishing, skiing, hiking, bird watching, wine tasting and antiquing.  Within the grounds, guests can enjoy croquet, badminton, fine leisurely walks, afternoon snacks and, of course, rocking on the spacious wraparound porch.  Nearby visitor attractions include the New Market Civil War Battlefield and Museum, Skyline Drive, George Washington National Park, many caverns, wineries, regional festivals and historic Shenandoah Valley towns.  Strathmore House, a Queen Ann Victorian manor house, built in 1892, offers a friendly and relaxed atmosphere with an excellent standard of accommodation and superb breakfast cuisine.  There are four individually styled bedrooms, with queen beds, some with featherbed mattresses and all with private baths, traditional and country decor, beautiful landscaped gardens and gracious public room.  Elegant charm, period splendor, the quintessential Victorian country house.  A taste of luxury and a touch of class.

Deposits will be refunded if a seven (7) day notice of cancellation is given, less a $15 processing fee.  Deposits for reservations canceled less than seven days prior to arrival date are non-refundable but with the option to reschedule within 90 days.
