Foster Harris House
Just two blocks from The Inn at Little Washington, nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, and minutes from Shenandoah National Park, the Foster Harris House offers comfortable, refined accommodations in an enchanting country setting.
Visitors come to the region to dine at award-winning restaurants, browse antique shops, art galleries, and boutiques, taste wines at local vineyards, attend performances at the village theaters, and explore Shenandoah National Park. Outdoor enthusiasts revel in the awe-inspiring setting for hiking, horseback riding, cycling, fly-fishing, golfing, and hot air ballooning.
Each of the inn's five guest rooms has exquisitely soft linens, spa robes, and a private bath with a rainfall shower. Most guest rooms are accented with cozy free-standing stoves and offer expansive views of the perennial gardens, meadows, and surrounding mountains.
Breakfast at the Foster Harris House is a lavish, unhurried four-course meal. Your day may begin with fresh baked ginger scones, followed by seasonal fruit topped with cannoli cream and cinnamon straw. For the main course, you may enjoy an entree of roasted red pepper and gruyere souffle accompanied by hickory-smoked bacon glazed in a raspberry chipotle sauce. A sweet finish may include blueberry cheesecake crepes with Creme Anglaise.
Indulge in a glass of wine while basking in spectacular sunsets from the garden or spend crisp evenings relaxing with a glass of port by the warm glow of the living room fire.
We are a small, owner-run bed and breakfast, so cancellations affect us significantly. If you cancel less than fourteen (14) days prior to your check-in date and we're able to re-book your room, you won't be charged. We'll make every effort to re-book your room, but in the event we cannot, you're responsible for the full amount of your reservation. Please note that a cancellation is not in effect until you receive confirmation from us that we've received your message.
