Warm hospitality and fine food, quality bedding, original art on all the walls, and classical music set the tone indoors. There is a ground floor room with a king bed and private bath;  and an upstairs Family Suite, two rooms sharing a bath.  One upstairs room has a king bed and large window seat.  The other upstairs room has a queen bed and a twin bed.

Outdoors, the dog and cat and anything-but-formal gardens with an abundance of wildlife show there's nothing stuffy about enjoying the good life here. Happy, romantic, pampered times will linger in your memory.

A full homemade breakfast is served on the large screened porch facing the fountain garden. It starts with oj and fresh fruit, and the next course alternates between savory eggs (quiche, omelets, cheese souffl���©, eggs Benedict) and something with pure maple syrup (baked apple pancake, yeast waffles, tender French toast, buttermilk pecan / blueberry pancakes), served with bacon, sausage or ham. Fresh fruits from the property are used in season. Scones and Danish cinnamon rolls are specialties.

Cocktail-hour snacks are offered. Your choice from a wide variety of fine loose-leaf teas will be brewed any time.

The large screened porch, where breakfast is usually served, is a very enjoyable place any hour;  relax and listen to the birds and the fountain, read or use your laptop with our wifi. Guests also enjoy use of the living room with guest computer and 42" plasma tv (popcorn, brownies, beverages offered, and some 400 movies on dvd). Outdoors, find lounges for sunning and swings for daydreaming in the shade. Take advantage of the extensive library of books and magazines (the bedrooms have comfortable seating, if you prefer your own hideaway). Genealogists will find many resources here. Of course, there is a variety of indoor and outdoor games, or use the drive as a practice range and hit some golf balls.

Foreign visitors are very welcome. Weeklong English (ESL) immersion packages are available.

14 days' notice for refund.  $40 cancellation/change fee applies.  Later cancellations will be refunded to the extent the booking is replaced.
