Country hospitality abounds at the Hummingbird, in the little railroad town of Goshen, near Lexington, Staunton, and Warm Springs.

We offer relaxing and romantic accommodations, mixed with comfort and modern amenities along with stories of the rich history of our 1853 Victorian Carpenter Gothic Inn.

Relax on the wide verandas or in the sunny solarium, or on the cozy down cushioned sectional in the living room, or the warm wood den and stone fireplace built in 1753. Stroll through the gardens down to the old livery stable, or listen to the babble of Mill Creek on the deck. Watch the antics of our hummingbirds during the summer season, or settle in next to one of our fireplaces for a quiet winter afternoon. Nestled in a little railroad town, (Train lovers can be guaranteed a train will pass in front of the inn sometime during their stay.) Plus we're pet-friendly too!

A great place for reunions, small, intimate weddings, or that special occasion getaway to celebrate an anniversary or other special event. We'll strive to meet your needs so you can relax and enjoy your visit!

A full country breakfast is served each morning in our dining room, where you can chat with other guests while enjoying your morning meal. Breakfast specialties include fresh fruits, egg dishes, breakfast meats or vegetarian options, along with a variety of scones and muffins. Every breakfast is served with plenty of Costa Rican coffee and a variety of Stash teas. (Guests tell us they can skip lunch after breakfast here!)

On Friday and Saturday nights we can order dinners for you to enjoy in the dining room or we have a variety of 'little extras' for you to enjoy - picnics, cheese/crackers/wine, a decadent dessert tray; even a special celebration cake - making it a great way to start your weekend without stopping for fast food on your way to the Inn.

Rooms are furnished with individual air conditioners, even though our mountain location guarantees cool evenings in even the warmest months. All natural fiber linens and towels, down comforters, fireplaces in every room, jacuzzi tubs in some, thick fluffy robes and ceiling fans are provided for your comfort. Our den offers a desk with laptop computer to check email or local activities and restaurants while you make your plans as well as WiFi throughout the house. There are Internet radios in every room.  Complimentary snacks, cold drinks, 24 hour coffee & tea bar are provided.

Cancellations must be made by telephone conversation with the innkeepers. A processing fee of $25 will be charged for all cancellations unless made within 24 hours of the time the reservation was confirmed. In addition, cancellation must be received 14 days prior (30 days for holidays and special events) to the planned stay or the equivalent of one night's stay will be charged, 50% of which will be credited to a subsequent 2-day minimum reservation
