Inn at Westwood Farm
If your senses appreciate simple elegance, space, pampering, excellent service, calming atmosphere, attention to detail, exquisite healthy dining, peace & quiet, nature's beauty, flowers, herbs and animals...you will enjoy Inn at Westwood Farm.
Westwood was an operating farm from 1910 through the mid 50's. Since 2004, the owners, Elizabeth Goeke & Jay Billie, have worked to reclaim the abandoned gardens and are bringing Westwood Farm back to a small working farm. In the fall of 2007 after the renovations were complete, Elizabeth & Jay opened Inn at Westwood Farm.
During the growing seasons, breakfast includes many ingredients picked from the Inn's gardens and fresh natural eggs gathered from the resident hens.
Slip into the cool ironed French linens and goose down duvet. Start the day slowly by enjoying early morning coffee or tea outside your guest room door. Breakfast is served from 8:00 - 9:30 am in the Inn's dining room or, weather permitting, in the patio garden.
Concierge service is a signature of the Inn. Whether your interests are history, wineries, antiques, art, food, agriculture, running, cycling, hiking or sky diving, we will assist you in planning your activities. Picnic lunches made to order from the Inn's kitchen may be arranged so your touring day can continue at a leisurely pace.
The innkeepers have blended antique furniture with contemporary furnishings and art to complement this 1910 farmhouse. Warm, rich colors are used throughout the interior. Find a quiet spot in the woods in one of the outside seating areas or on the porch to relax while taking in the fragrance of lavender and rosemary from the surrounding gardens. Traditional games of croquet, horseshoes and badminton are available on the property. You may wish to feed a treat or two to the horses or just visit with the llamas in the nearby paddock. Benches built for two and Adirondack chairs dot the magnificent landscape and wooded paths. Inn guests may take in the gorgeous sunset over the Blue Ridge Mountains from one of the many outdoor seating areas or during a walk around the property.
One of our guests summed up their stay by writing, "The Inn offers all the luxury and service you would expect from a 5 star hotel, but at the same time it is small enough to make you feel at home. It is a place which is a must for all Virginia and B&Bs lovers from both North America and Europe alike." G.W. Zurich, Switzerland
