Jasmine Plantation

A restored 1750's Farmhouse on 47 acres located in the heart of Virginia's Historic Colonial District.

The Jasmine is conveniently located 2 miles of off I-64 exit 214, midway between Richmond and Williamsburg, in the heart of Plantation Country.

The Inn serves a full country breakfast each morning and has refreshment available in the evening.

The five (5) guest rooms are all tastefully decorated in Americana, and the Inn has many relaxing common areas for guests.

The Jasmine was first settled by the English Surveyor George Morris in 1680. He built a small log cabin, on the site of the present Inn's Dining room, and received a land grant for it from the King in 1683. Of the notable events that have occured at the Jasmine is that it was used as a headquarters for the Revolutionary Army in 1779, and, from the maps available, it appears that the army returned in 1781 on their way to Yorktown.

During the Civil War, the Jasmine was a bit out of the way for most of the armies. J.E.B. Stuart did camp near the plantation and evidence is strong that his men "foraged for food" here. Guests are invited to walk the many trails around the Inn and use their imagination about the many events that have occured here.
