Mac leads you through old town regaling you with stories of ghosts who inhabit The Cork Street Tavern, The Stone House, the old Frederick County Court House and other locations.
Walking Civil War Tour - $125 plus tax per couple
Relaxing, refreshing, one-night stay with all the amenities and award winning four-course breakfast at Long Hill B&B. Educational one and a half hour easy-walking guided tour exploring the events of the Civil War that were centered in historic downtown Winchester. Mac leads you through old town and discusses Winchester's role in the Valley Campaign, the generals who were headquartered in Winchester, and the soldiers who were held as prisoners and who were treated in makeshift hospitals. A Civil War driving tour is also available. Mac will drive his own car to the battlefields and cemetery.
Driving Civil War Tour - $145 plus tax per couple
Relaxing, refreshing, one-night stay with all the amenities at Long Hill Bed & Breakfast. Long Hill's Award winning four-course breakfast. Educational four-hour escorted driving tour exploring the events of the Civil War that were centered in the Winchester area. Mac Rutherford will drive you through the area showing you the Battlefields and discussing Winchester's role in the Valley Campaign. A walking tour is also available. Mac leads you through downtown Winchester and discusses the many sites related to the Civil War.
