Ma Margaret's House

It was built in 1914 as the residence of the proprietor's grandparents.  In it's much smaller original version, this house hosted big family dinners and special occasion get togethers.  Today, it is open to the public and avails to its visitors the same generous hospitality that family members have cherished for years.

Its beauty and convenient location is attractive to travelers needing one or more overnight stays.  Ma Margaret's House   is also available for reunions, weddings, and church events, as well as for those wanting to take advantage of nearby cruises to Chesapeake Bay islands, enjoy charter fishing, or tour the historic Northern Neck.

In most instances, we require a two-night minimum stay on weekends, holidays, and special occasions.
Pets are not allowed.  As a general rule, and for the benefit of our adult guests, we do not allow younger children; however, children age 12 and over are welcomed. With advance notice we will make every effort to accommodate special dietary needs.
We offer a smoke free environment.  Failure to comply will result in an $100 cleaning fee charged to your card.
