Each morning, by the glow of the oil lamp, an abundant four course breakfast is elegantly served on antique silver and china. This delectable meal includes our own blend of fresh ground coffee, low fat granola, seasonal fruits and/or homemade breads and seasonal house favorites such as Italian Sausage Egg Bake, Stuffed Fresh Blueberry Pancakes, or Apple Chicken Cheddar Tart.

In the afternoon, lemonade in the summer, an assortment of ciders and hot chocolate in the winter, or a glass of sherry are available for sipping on the porch or by the warmth of the fire in our cozy parlor.

We have paid particular attention to designing our guest rooms to provide every amenity you may need including: private en suite baths; air conditioning; porch access; working fireplaces with the original carved mantles; satellite tv and DVD players; Ipod/CD Players with Alarm Clocks; quality linens and towels; plush robes; private label soaps and shampoos; hairdryers; coffee makers and individualized lighting for the reading enjoyment of each guest.

Our "Pride of Virginia " room with two private porches is particularly popular. Natures Song" is perfect for a honeymoon or anniversary. "Joe's Fishing Place" is an inspiration for the fisherman in all of us, and "Daisy's Delight" and the "Heirloom Room" are the favorites of the innkeepers.
