Stoneridge Bed & Breakfast
Stoneridge offers an exceptional Shenandoah Valley lodging experianceIn addition to the five guest rooms, there are several common areas where our guests can find quiet solitude or enjoy conversation with others visiting the Lexington area.
The living room, located on the first floor of our 1829 home offers guests an inviting and comfortable place to enjoy the company of others or quietly read a book. Also know as the music room with a parlor grand piano, and antique violin and clarinets, the room features oil paintings from France and etchings from Germany. Sherry is always available for our guests in the evening.
The library, also located on the first floor of our 1829 home, is decorated in deep blues with burgundy accents and features a gas-log fireplace, an extensive collection of books, mounted game birds, a grandfather clock from the Black Forest of Germany, a video library, parlor games, and treasures gathered during our travels in Europe. A television with satelite connection and telephone are available for our guests.
During the summer months, the patio, surround by a raised-bed garden of flowers and herbs, serves as an optional dining area for breakfast.
Stoneridge's five charming guest rooms, each named for a former owner, are individually decorated with a tastful blend of antiques and traditional furnishings. All rooms have queen-size beds, private baths, ceiling fans, and central air; three have double Jacuzzis and four have romantic fireplaces.
Stoneridge is surrounded by 32 secluded acres of Virginia countryside - fields, streams, woodlands, and abundant wildflowers, butterflies, and wildlife - deer, turkeys, and songbirds. Sit on the spacious front porch and sip a cool drink as you enjoy the panoramic view of the grounds, rolling hills of the Shenandoah Valley, and sunset over the mountains in the west. Explore the grounds and you will find remnants of a servant's cabin, a restored spring house, and a time-worn corn crib. Stroll hand-in-hand at night and delight in the brilliant display of stars in the clear sky.
Enjoy our full country breakfast served by candlelight in the original dining room of our 1829 home. We promise that you will not go away hungry.
