Northern Virginia is only a hop, skip and a jump from Washington D.C., located along the same historic Potomac which President George Washington crossed during the Revolutionary War. These days, Northern Virginia is a beautiful region filled with luxurious attractions such as golf courses, shopping, wineries and history.
While in Northern Virginia, enjoy a lively art scene at places like the Caton Merchant Family Gallery or Creative Brush Studio in Manassas.
There are wonderful fine dining facilities to explore, like Carmello's Ristorante, or Foundation, where you can enjoy a seven-course meal that is prepared in front your eyes and paired with exquisite wines.
Northern Virginia has its fair share of fascinating historic attractions, like the Alexandria black history museum and archeology museum. There are lots of parks and areas for outdoor recreation, like the Manassas National Battlefield Park, comprised of over 50 miles of hiking and biking trails where one can still observe the impact of war on the landscape.
